Dallas International Boat Show Report
Here is a report on results from the recent Dallas International Boat Show….
Organizers of the Dallas International Boat show reported a 20 percent increase in attendance at this year’s event over the 2009 show.
Exact attendance figures were not available.
The show ran Feb. 5-7 and 20-24, and reported the increased numbers in spite of Super Bowl weekend and a record snowstorm with travel and power outage issues.
Many exhibitors reported increased sales over last year’s show, including MarineMax Dallas, which saw sales up a third from the 2009 show, and North Texas Marine, which reported selling more boats at the Dallas show than each of the two previous shows in which it participated.
“In my 40 years of selling, servicing and promoting family boating, I have never seen a better time for a young family to get started because the show offered great boating options for anyone’s budget,” show marketing director Franklin Pillsbury IV said in a statement.
