Boat Canvas and Carpet can be a substantial investment intended to protect your boat and its contents.  Choosing the right material for each specific use is crucial to its efficiency in maximizing your investment.  Dozens of types of materials are on the market, however we uses only those featuring a 5 year or greater manufacturers limited warranty.

The one product that carries no warranty is Isinglass or clear vinyl curtains. The reason for this is that these products are easily marred, and or scratched. Extra care must be taken when installing, cleaning, storing and in the general handling of this product.

Mildew is not a defect. Mildew is caused by dirt, moisture and improper storage. Keep your vessel clean, including the canvas and carpet Always allow canvas and carpet to thoroughly dry before storing.

Snap-on boat canvas such as Boat Top Sets and Cockpit Covers and Carpet products are custom ordered and made-to-measure or produced using factory original patterns.

We deal with many boat canvas manufacturers. Some use the grommet hole installed for the support pole.
If you prefer the snap stud patch sewn underneath in place of  grommet,
we will need to know by written confirmation [email] not by phone.

Pontoon Enclosures are manufactured from the measurements and pictures supplied by the customer. Any specific design features need to be discussed and put in an email before we start manufacturing - Changes to the design will not be made after your pontoon enclosure has been manufactured and shipped without additional charges.

Customer is responsible for choosing the color of their product. North American Waterway will not refund any product based on incorrect color choice. Color charts are available online for all products.

Digital representation of color charts may not reflect the true colors. If an exact color or replacement colour is a key factor, it is the customer's responsibility to verify they are ordering their desired color.You may do this by reading the label on your existing canvas or visiting a local fabric store to view color samples.

Custom Canvas that is manufactured from using the customer's current canvas as a pattern - To create new canvas we need to dissemble the old canvas in order to use a template. We cannot return the canvas.

No products are In-Stock - All of our boat canvas and carpet is ordered by the customer who select their own colour, size and any options. Your order is then manufactured to your specifications and therefore they are non-refundable because it is custom made-to-order - No Exceptions. In the event that upgrades or options are unavailable, you will be refunded for the upgrade or option only.

In the event that there is a Warranty Claim - Please note the proper procedure;

North American Waterway's Warranty Department reserves the right to require pictures of the warranty claim, copy of purchase receipt, and description of product in question to process any warranty claim. The pictures need to be taken with the canvas installed on the boat so we can clearly see boat owners concern or issues. 

To make a warranty claim, the Boat Company, Dealer or Retail Customer must call or e-mail our Warranty Department within 10 days of receiving the product. They must obtain an RA number (Return Authorization number) from North American Waterway and must mark package(s) clearly with the RA number. Any packages without the proper RA number will NOT be accepted. (No exceptions)

All warranty decisions will be made by North American Waterway and are final. If North American Waterway determines that the item(s) are not covered under warranty, a quote for repair or replacement of the item(s) will be provided.  North American Waterway will pay for shipping during the first year of the warranty period on any valid warranty claim.

This warranty does not apply to; a) misuse, b) neglect, c) accident, d) improper installation, e) harsh chemicals, f) water/ice accumulation or “pocketing”, g) alterations to the original design, h) improper packaging in return shipments to North American Waterway, i) allowing any sharp object to come in contact with the canvas, j) installation of snap fasteners other than those installed by the manufacturer.

All credit card purchases that qualify for a refund will be credited to the same credit card account that was charged in the original purchase. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing. Call 705-745-6849 Monday to Thursday, 8 am–3 pm Eastern time for further instructions.

Returned items must be in brand new, completely unused condition and contain original packaging and packing slip.

Do not return product as C.O.D. We will not accept any packages freight collect or C.O.D.

All packages must be shipped prepaid. Returns will be inspected before final decisions are made on credits.

NOTE: All re-orders for canvas will be made from the most current patterns for the year, make and model provided. You must advise Customer Service about any aftermarket additions or changes to the boat as these will impact fit. Exact color matches may not be possible due to variations in dye lots and fading of the existing canvas.


North American Waterway does not provide installation, that is the responsibility of purchaser, we manufacture and distribute only.
We offer no warranty on Installation - We have no idea of your capabilities when it comes to installing your new canvas or carpets. When installing you should have some help from a fellow boating friend who knows canvas or seek out an experienced canvas shop to assist you.
Keep in mind, most instructions were designed at the time your boat was manufactured for their own dealers as they do not sell direct to the customer. North American Waterway does not participate in installation but we may offer advice if asked.

Shipping and Delivery:

North American Waterway uses UPS (United Parcel Service) as it's carrier for most deliveries. We require an adult signature at time of delivery so you need to make sure there will be someone present to accept delivery. The UPS shipping fees will be pre-paid, however the customer is responsible for any taxation or importation fees for cross-border shipments and will be asked to pay these fees, by the carrier, when the order is delivered.

Every effort is made to get your  products to you  in a timely manner. Because many of our products are custom, made-to-order the time of shipping may vary depending on how many orders are being filled at that time. To receive an estimated time of delivery please contact us before making your purchase.

Important You Understand:

We offer boat canvas from hundreds of boat manufactures and models. Which means all orders are shipped from Canada or the United States.
Customers are responsible for all shipping fees and any importation or custom fees incurred from cross-border shipments. If this is a concern, you need to contact us prior to purchase. All orders are final.
